October 20th Seminar
"The Loire Valley"
- Jackalope Grill
- 4:00-6:00 (Arrive 15 min. early.)
On Monday, October 20, Women Tasting Wine will feature wines from The Loire Valley of France, presented by Tim Rippa of Petit Monde. The Loire River is the longest river in France at 629 miles in length. It originates in the Southeast corner of France and flows into the Atlantic Ocean at St. Nazaire, South of Paris. The Loire Valley produces an extraordinary range of excellent wines including superb white wines from Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and Melon de Bourgogne grapes, and fine red wines from Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir grapes. The wines are typically high in acid, which makes them perfect for pairing with food.
Join us as we sample some lovely wines from the Loire Valley, accompanied by Chef Tim's small culinary creations.
We will meet on Monday, October 20, from 4:00-6:00 at Jackalope Grill, 750 Lava Road. The cost is $45.
To facilitate making your reservation for the October 20 WTW Seminar, we will be accepting credit cards as well as cash or checks (made out to “Women Tasting Wine.”) You can drop off your check at Bend Wine Cellar Thursday or Saturday from 2:00-5:00. (Stop by Saturday and enjoy a complimentary wine tasting.) You can also call Diane (388-7564) with your credit card information. As the menu is a fixed one and not a la carte, please let us know at the time of registration if you have any food allergies. We need to have our final numbers in on the Wednesday before the event for the purpose of ordering the food, so payment needs to be received by Tuesday, October 14.
Remember, reservations are on a first come, first served basis and your payment is your reservation. Since we have to have our “head count” in by Wednesday morning, there will be no refunds for cancellations after 9:00 AM Wednesday, October 15, or for no-shows on the day of the seminar.
We hope to see you in October and at future monthly Women Tasting Wine Seminars!
